Husam Rajab, Ph.D.Computer Engineering and Telecommunications Expert
Husam Rajab is a researcher and engineer with a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, specializing in next-generation telecommunications, including 5G and Beyond 5G technologies. His work centers on network slicing, resource allocation, and network programmability within Open RAN (Radio Access Network) architectures, with a particular focus on enabling Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) for critical applications in sectors such as AR/VR and Industry 4.0.
Throughout his career, Dr. Rajab has combined his academic expertise with hands-on industry experience, having served as an Associated Researcher at Ericsson on the 5G Agriculture Project. He has also engaged in applied research roles, publishing work on machine learning integration in network optimization and IoT scheduling. His consulting work further extends into digital transformation and network design, advising on best practices in AI-enhanced resource management.
In addition to his technical pursuits, Dr. Rajab has been a board member for the EIT Health Innovators Community in the InnoStars East region, contributing to health innovation projects and mentoring young professionals. He has also participated in high-impact projects in healthcare, such as EIT Health InnoStars, and served as a jury member for innovation events.
Dr. Rajab’s background aligns closely with the goals of the World Science Forum, as he is committed to advancing technologies that bridge science and society.
