Dr. Husam Rajab is a computer engineering expert with a Ph.D. from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, specializing in next-generation telecommunications. His research focuses on advancing 5G and Beyond 5G (B5G) technologies, particularly in network slicing, resource allocation, and programmability within Open RAN (Radio Access Network) architectures. He has contributed significantly to enabling Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) for critical applications in areas such as Industry 4.0, AR/VR, and digital health.
With a strong foundation in both academia and industry, Dr. Rajab worked as an Associated Researcher at Ericsson on the 5G Agriculture Project, where he applied advanced network solutions to improve reliability and latency in real-world environments. His research publications include work on AI and machine learning techniques for network optimization, IoT scheduling, and energy-efficient communications.
In addition to his technical expertise, Dr. Rajab actively engages in initiatives to foster innovation and collaboration. As a former board member of the EIT Health Innovators Community for the InnoStars East region, he supported health innovation projects and mentored young professionals. He has participated in healthcare technology programs such as EIT Health InnoStars and served as a jury member for international innovation events.
