Dr Boitumelo Ramatsetse is currently a Commissioner at the National Planning Commission (NPC) in the Office of the Presidency (RSA). In addition he is an academic & NRF rated researcher at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) as well as the Research & Innovation (RnI) associate at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) at the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (FEBE). He has over 10 years of teaching and research experience within the Higher Education Institution. He holds a Doctor of Engineering (D-Eng), Master of Technology (M-Tech) Industrial Engineering as well as the Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech), National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He holds a certificate in Project Management from University of South Africa (UNISA). He is currently an Associate Member of the Southern African Institute of Industrial Engineers (SAIIE), Industrial Engineering & Operations Management (IEOM) as well as Southern African Institute of Mechanical Engineers (SAIMechE). His research interest includes, reconfigurable manufacturing systems (RMS), production systems, mineral processing systems, machine design, ranging from theory to design implementation. Dr Ramatsetse has served at the National Research Foundation (NRF) funding committee for the year 2017, 2022. He has published thirteen (13) peer-reviewed Journal papers, two (2) book chapters and over twenty (20) local and international conference papers since 2013. To date, he has successfully filed three (3) patents in South Africa and China.
