I am an academic with a passion for science and an interest in climate and social justice. My goal would be to use my knowledge and the scientific community to further my climate activism by using my own research as a catalyst to facilitate campaigns against environmental pollution.

I currently manage a team of 32 volunteers, working towards raising awareness on and fighting the plastics crisis in my hometown, Durban.

Youth Ambassador | Break Free From Plastic | 2022 – Present

My role here works hand in hand with Zero Waste Durban, to campaign and advocate for climate justice. This has given me confidence in public speaking, networking, and being able to think on my feet.
