Dr Balázs Rózsa graduated from two universities in parallel. He received his medical degree summa cum laude from Semmelweis University in 1999, followed by a degree in physics from ELTE in 2001 and a PhD in neurosciences summa cum laude in 2007. Since 2002 he has been actively involved in the research of HUN-REN KOKI. Since 2010, he has been leading the Multiphoton Research Group at PPKE and also works at the KOKI Two-photon Imaging Centre, where he has been leading the Neuronal Network and Dendritic Activity Research Group since 2016. In 2021, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Botond Roska and the Hungarian State, he founded the BrainVisionCenter Research Institute and Competence Centre, a significant milestone in his research career. The aim of the institute is to develop new therapeutic and diagnostic equipment, primarily in the field of neurobiology. He has published dozens of national and international scientific papers in prestigious journals such as Science, Nature Methods, Nature, has given nearly half a hundred international presentations and the microscopes he has developed at Femtonics are used in more than 150 renowned laboratories worldwide, including Yale, Harvard, MIT and Columbia University.
