Kabeer Sewpersad is the Regional Solutions Consultant for Digital in Process Industries at ABB South Africa. He is responsible for architecting solutions and services that deliver value for Pulp and Paper, Metals, Cement, Minerals and Mining, Datacenters and Food and Beverage industries, and driving the digital transformation of these industries to make them more sustainable, efficient, safe and productive. Kabeer has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering and a Programme for Management Development focused in Business Administration and Management. He began his professional career at ABB as a Project Engineer for the Process Industries division, designing and commissioning numerous large scale greenfield and brownfield automation projects. In 2016, he joined the company’s control system product team, where he spent three years as a Senior Product Manager. Since 2019, he became the Digital Lead for ABB Process Industries in Southern Africa, utilizing his experience of merging IT, OT and ET system to deliver integrated value solutions to customers. He has professional registrations and memberships with ECSA and SAIMC.
