I am applying as part of the group of students joining from the ACCESS Habitable Planet Workshop (HPW38) under Dr Carl Palmer

I am a driven and determined 22-year-old Environmental Management Masters student from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Currently completing my thesis in forest health and sustainable environmental practices to ensure the transition to a just economy, I am also widely accomplished within the field of project management in response to environmental education and climate literacy. With a passion for improving climate vulnerable regions and increasing awareness surrounding such issues, I have served as the Chairperson of the Sustainable Seas Trust African Youth Waste Network, and am currently serving as Chairperson of the International Association for Impact Assesment’s KwaZulu-Natal Student Branch in South Africa. In addition to this, I am the Deputy Chair for CSIR’s Alliance for the Collaboration on Climate and Earth System Science Habitable Planet Programme. I have also presented the above-mentioned programme in the Parliament of South Africa to the joint committees of the Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation as well as the Environment, Forestry and Fisheries.

I am therefore well accustomed and highly experienced in working with all groups of people at a variety of levels.
