Dr. László Sitányi, Ph.D.

 

He completed his higher education studies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where he obtained a degree in mechanical design engineering. He holds a doctorate at the University of Pécs in the field of the relationship between innovation and social capital.

 

He started his career 30 years ago at IT companies as a system designer and development engineer. Later he was the IT manager and then managing director of the Somogy County Enterprise Centre Foundation, and  he was also the leader of EU Phare projects in Hungary, mainly related to IT.

Between 2000 and 2016  he was deputy general director and then managing director of the South Transdanubian Regional Development Agency

Subsequently, he  worked as the Deputy Minister's Development Policy Advisor at the Prime Minister's Office, and then, as Head of Department, he was responsible for the communication of the Hungarian – EU-funded – operational programmes.

 

Since 2019, he has been the head of the project and operational directorate of  the Blue Planet Climate Protection Foundation. In addition to supporting and organizing civil initiatives, the Foundation also provides assistance in the implementation of sustainable business ideas. In addition to its educational and educational activities, the Blue Planet Climate Protection Foundation helps micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with mentoring programs and financial means. In order to achieve national sustainability and climate protection goals, he is a professional partner and helper of the government, as well as the owner and operator of the Blue Planet Climate Protection Venture Capital Fund.
