Dr Amanda Skepu is the Impact Area Manager in the Next Generation Health Cluster at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). She holds a PhD in Biochemistry, with expertise in molecular and cellular biology, nanotechnology and diagnostics. She is leading a multidisciplinary team of scientists with a focus on research and developing of vaccines and diagnostic tools for human, animal and zoonotic disease in support of One Health.

Dr Skepu sits on the Advisory Board Committee for Life Sciences at UNISA and the Advisory Board Committee for Pan African Cancer Research Institute (PACRI) at the University of Pretoria. She has over 15 years of R&D experience and has supervised and graduated a number of Masters and Doctoral students.
