Dr. Sogbanmu is an Environmental Toxicologist with several years of experience in environmental risk assessment and management of organic pollutants in various environmental media. This is with a view to providing targeted environmental management advice to regulators, industry/practitioners, and policymakers. She has 20+ years of experience in business management, product/service development, stakeholder engagement, event planning, and coordination. She is an Appointee of the Federal and Lagos State Ministries of Environment as an Ecology/Waste Management Expert on Environmental Impact Assessment draft report review panels. She is sought-after as a Guest Speaker at local and international public and/or private sector-focused meetings/conferences where she has facilitated discussions and engagements on environmental pollution management, evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM), and sustainability. Dr. Sogbanmu is a multiple award/grant-winning scholar in environmental research, an ardent researcher with several publications, a journal reviewer and Editorial Board member, an Affiliate of the AAS, and Vice President of the Nigerian Young Academy. She is an advocate of the UN SDGs 6, 11, 13, and 14, AU Agenda 2063 Goal 7, Evidence for Policy, Science, and Risk Communication. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management, lectures and leads the Evidence Use in Environmental Policymaking in Nigeria (EUEPiN) Project at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
