István Szarvas was born on January 30, 1944, in Budapest, and is perhaps the country's most agile journalist with an engineering degree. He boasts over three decades of journalistic activity, with articles appearing in Trend Váltó, Építési Piac, Tőzsde Kurir, and Boom magazines. From 1994 to 1998, he held the position of deputy editor-in-chief at the journal Gépipar. His top-notch communication skills are evident in both traditional press and blog platforms: he has published around 600 articles in print and about 1,000 online. Since 1997, he has been a contributor to the Hetedhéthatár magazine and has remained loyal to this publication for a quarter of a century, currently serving as the head of the Budapest editorial office. He publishes interviews, book reviews, and reports on various events, covering fields from science and healthcare to sports and gastronomy.In modern journalism, he is particularly known for his interviews, as evidenced by his 2008 book "I Asked – They Answered." His excellence is marked by the annual publication of selected interviews since 2014. Beyond the seventh volume of the "I Asked – They Answered" series, published in 2023, he also released an interview book with Olympians. He has previously featured several Olympic champions, has also interviewed prime ministers, heads of state, Nobel laureates, mayors, consuls, governors, and various world-famous personalities.
