Renate Venier is Governance Coordinator in the office of the Executive Officer  of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf), a position she has held since 2021. She was previously National Liaison Officer also at ASSAf. In her current position she oversees the coordination of the Academy’s governance and compliance related matters as well as membership elections, member engagement and related activities. She is a graduate of the University of Pretoria and Stellenbosch University, BA(Hons) and undertook further studies in public relations and in building stakeholder relations through the University of South Africa (UNISA).
