Dr Beate Wagner- since 2016 Managing Director of the Global Young Academy,  - between 2002 and 2015, Secretary General of the German United Nations Association. Before: Director of Programme at the RIAS Berlin Commission, a bilateral US-German initiative in the field of journalist exchange and a management position at the Berlin city administration in the field of federal and European affairs.

Dr Wagner is a political scientist by training. She teaches in a sideline position international relations at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg.
