Hloniphani Xulu joined PSiRA's Research and Development Unit in 2018 as an intern and was appointed as a Junior Researcher in 2019. He has authored and co-authored several research reports for the Authority. His most recent study was on the emergence of a new private security industry sector known as cyber security which looked at the regulation of the industry and possible employment for South Africans in the industry. Mr Xulu holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours (Development Studies) and Bachelor of Arts (Correctional Studies) from the University of Zululand.
