Dr. Ali Yaacoub possesses over 16 years of professional experience managing and implementing environmental and industrial projects focused on resource efficiency and circular economy. He possesses a PhD on Environmental & Sustainable Development after having completed a Master’s degree in environmental technology engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.

Dr Yaacoub profile combines an experience developed in the private, public, and international organisations’ domains. Through his career, he has acted as political and environmental advisor to several international, national and local authorities. His international background has served the implementation, development, and coordination of different UN and EU-funded initiatives, such us the Lebanese Cleaner Production Centre (LCPC), Invest In Med, BAT4MED, i-rexfo, GRECO or the SWITCH-MED Initiative.

Dr Yaacoub, recently provided global consultancy on circularity and sustainability for top private companies and others consultancy firms such as Mckinsey & Co. and Ernest & Young etc.

Dr Yaacoub has developed an academic profile by lecturing at different universities, and by writing and collaborating in the writing and publication of several articles, books, reports, and research projects. He speaks Arabic and Danish, has an advanced knowledge of English and some knowledge of French and German.
