Emanuel Zeferino is an Industrial Engineer, currently working as Ph.D. researcher at the University of Twente, in the Netherlands, where he is focusing on battery manufacturing systems to support electric mobility and stationary application. He previously worked in various capacities, including as a Project Manager and Data Scientist at Sunstone Logistics Systems where he managed projects for digitalising and optimising end-to-end logistics operations for companies such as CCBA Africa (Cocacola Africa) across the African continent.

Emanuel has received a number of awards as a result of his outstanding academic and industry contributions. He can fluently communicate in English and Portuguese as well as moderate Spanish and French. His interests are in Energy transition (especially battery manufacturing systems), digitalisation, machine learning, artificial intelligence and policy development.
