Prof. Roseanne Diab

Prof Roseanne Diab is Emeritus Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. She is the former Executive Officer of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and is a Member of ASSAf and is recognised for her research contributions in the field of Atmospheric Sciences, particularly air quality and climate change. She was also special advisor to the global initiative, GenderInSITE, which was based in Trieste, Italy. She currently chairs the Gender Advisory Committee of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). She is a Fellow of TWAS, UKZN, the South African Geographical Society and the African Academy of Sciences. She has been a Fulbright senior research scholar and currently serves on the AU High-Level Panel on Emerging Technologies .
