Alondra Nelson, Ph.D., is Deputy Assistant to President Joe Biden and the Deputy Director for Science and Society at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where she performed the duties of the Director from February-October 2022. (Dr. Nelson is currently on leave from her position as the Harold F. Linder Chair and Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, an independent research center in Princeton, New Jersey, USA).
She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Philosophical Society, the National Academy of Medicine, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
