Azeeza Rangunwala is a Medical Scientist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and an intersectional feminist.  She is currently the Africa Regional Coordinator of the Global Green Healthy Hospitals programme.  As a senior campaign manager at groundWork, an environmental justice organisation, the African strategic partner of Health Care Without Harm, Azeeza works to transform health care facilities, health organisations and health systems towards climate-smart healthcare.  Her previous role was as Assistant Director; Research, Policy and Capacity Building at Gauteng Department of Health, where key areas were research, policy formulation and managing projects that are in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the National Development Plan (NDP).  Additional work experience includes National Institute for Communicable Diseases (Project Coordinator and Scientist) and the University of Pretoria (Project Scientist). Education includes a postgraduate diploma in Public Management and an M.Med.Sc degree. She also serves on the Advisory board for the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Pretoria and is a Global Senior Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity.
