Mustafa Balarabe Shehu is the President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), a former President of the Federation of African Engineering Organizations, FAEO as well as the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). He is also the founder and Chairman of MBS Engineering Limited, one of the foremost engineering firms in Nigeria, with offices in Kano and Abuja. He graduated with a degree in electrical engineering 39 years ago and over time acquired training and experience in electrical power engineering, renewable energy technologies, project management, administration, and leadership.

He participates actively in the services and activities of governmental, professional, and business organizations at national, continental and global levels. It is in these regards he served and still serves in various capacities on the Boards of many Governmental and non-governmental organizations.

He is a recipient of over 60 Awards and Honors from National and International Engineering Institutions, educational institutions as well as community-based organizations.
